From a small Italian farm kitchen to your hands

Hi — I’m Francesco, the grandson behind Nonna Method.

This brand didn’t start in a boardroom or a lab. It started in a country kitchen in Northern Italy, where my grandmother Anna Maria has spent her life doing things the old way: growing food, caring for animals, and trusting what’s real.

Anna Maria comes from a farming family. In our world, nothing was wasted, and nothing was overcomplicated. If something worked, it was kept. If it didn’t, it was removed. That same mindset shaped the balm she’s been making for decades — a simple, traditional formula she learned from the women before her, passed down quietly through generations.

While modern skincare became an industry of endless “new” ingredients and complicated routines, my Nonna stayed exactly where she always was:

in her kitchen, making one balm that simply worked.

The Nonna Ritual

Nonna Method is made the way Anna Maria has always made it — slow, careful, and by hand.

We start with grass-fed tallow, and render it gently for hours. Then we filter it, blend it with extra virgin olive oil, raw honey, and beeswax, and pour every jar by hand.

No factory.

No shortcuts.

No artificial fragrance.

No filler ingredients.

Just a concentrated balm designed for comfort, protection, and a skin feel that lasts — the kind of simple care people relied on long before skincare brands existed.

Why I brought it online

For a long time, this balm was only for our family.

But the more I watched the world move toward products with 30+ ingredients and labels full of things people can’t even pronounce, the more I felt something important was being lost: the wisdom of simple, traditional methods that actually make sense.

I realized that if I didn’t bring this tradition forward, it would eventually disappear.

So I made a decision: to put Anna Maria’s method online — not to “modernize” it, but to preserve it.

Nonna Method is my way of protecting what matters:

Small-batch, always

Because we make Nonna Method in small batches, we don’t have unlimited stock. Each batch takes time, and we refuse to rush it. That’s also why our subscription exists: to reserve jars for the people who want to keep it as part of their routine — without worrying about sold out batches.
